I went outside and saw a ladybug.  I thought it might make a good subject for a photo.

Just after I took the photo, Jenn and Jade stopped by for a visit.  I told Jade about the ladybug and he wanted to see it.  I was able to get the bug onto a leaf and then on his hand.

_DSC0236 Once it started crawling on him he got a bit scared. But his mommy did a good job of letting him know he would be ok.

Weekend with the French Family Day 1 http://terrif.zenfolio.com/blog/2012/2/weekend-with-the-french-family-day-1 It's always fun when we have the chance to get together with relatives.  There is never a dull moment when Gary and Julie come.  Gary really should put on a traveling comedy show.  His stories just get better and funnier with each telling.

_2240998-Edit _2241002-Edit Last night we had a great time playing dominoes.  We learned a new game from Rose called Chicken Feet.  Every time a question came up, she would tell us what the "Old Lady Rules" were.  I knew I was in trouble when Kathy only had one domino left and my hand looked like this.  Good thing we didn't keep a running score....just figured out who won and lost each hand.  I think I would have been the big time loser...but we had a lot of laughs and good times.  Rose is amazing.  I wish I was as sharp as she is and she has me beat in age by 36 years!!

Special Day with Jade http://terrif.zenfolio.com/blog/2012/2/special-day-with-jade It was Jade's turn for a special day today.  We had a great time going to Chick Fil A and Barnes and Noble.  Jade wanted to go to McDonald's but I held firm and got my way.  He seemed to like his lunch, although the lure of the toys kept him from eating too much.

_2160528 _2160529 _2170533 My yummy salad made for a nice lunch.

_2170532 After eating we had to play in the toys....

_2170551 _2170548 _2170538 He didn't want to leave, but I told him there would be more things to play with at the book store.

_2170554 _2170561 _2170563 He didn't want to stop playing to choose something to buy, so I found a few choices for him.  He liked a little stuffed dragon best.  We named him Fred.

A Perfect Saturday http://terrif.zenfolio.com/blog/2012/1/yesterday-we-got-had-wonderful Yesterday we got had the wonderful opportunity to go snow shoeing in Grand Teton National Park.It takes us about 2 hours (in good conditions to get there). As we started to get into the high country the sites got prettier and prettier. The mountains ahead looked to pretty with their dusting of new snow, I just had to take a photo through the windshield as my Greg was driving.

It didn't take long for the roads to get pretty bad but the scenery kept getting better and better.

Looking through the side window at the trees was a treat.

A friendly moose welcomed us as the visitor's center.

Starting up the Taggart Lake trail you pass over a bridge. You can hear the stream under the snow, but can't see much water. The "Grand" encourages you to keep trudging on.

Once you get over the ridge, the view is amazing. I doubt if there could be another snowshoe trail any more amazing than this one is. Sorry about the deep blue sky. I had my polarizer dialed in a bit strong.

You have to stop often to admire the scenery.

Taking a little break at the destination is always nice.... Hard to believe there is a lake under there.

Once we were finished we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset. I've never seen such golden highlights on the mountains.

Wonderful Easter Weekend http://terrif.zenfolio.com/blog/2011/4/wonderful-easter-weekend We had such a good weekend. On Saturday we needed to pick up something at the Hall’s house and we got there just in time to see the girls finishing up their Easter eggs.

Jaycie was having fun throwing the eggs after they were finished!!

That night we got to see Harlee perform in her dance recital. She was so focused on watching her teacher and doing everything just right!!

After Easter Dinner on Sunday, all the kids played baseball. It was so heavenly sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful weather and the family!!

Feeling Very Grateful.... http://terrif.zenfolio.com/blog/2011/3/feeling-very-grateful

It's a gloomy, drizzly day. It's one of those depressing kind of days. But, as I was driving to work today I kept thinking how grateful I am for a normal, quiet kind of day. I bet that there are millions of people in Japan who would love to have a normal day. I don't think I will be complaining about the weather anytime soon.

I went to the grocery store and felt so grateful to be able to buy whatever I wanted, after seeing the video clips of stores in Japan with emply shelves. I feel very grateful for all the little things today.
